CitiFix, designed by Peijin Du and Minzhou Wang, transforms how citizens interact with their cities through augmented reality. The platform empowers residents to identify and report urban infrastructure issues — flickering streetlights, flooded roads, malfunctioning signals — using their phone's camera to overlay digital information onto physical spaces.

The identity system reflects the project's mission through a modular logomark, calm typographic rhythm, and digital-blue accent palette. These design choices communicate transparency and the possibility of meaningful civic action through everyday technology.

CitiFix visualizes the collective intelligence of a city by translating citizen reports into a living map of urban issues. Each dot represents an act of participation, turning individual observations into shared knowledge. The mobile interface allows users to point their camera at faulty infrastructure, tag problems with digital overlays, and submit descriptions within a single intuitive flow. Meanwhile, a desktop dashboard enables city departments to prioritize, assign, and resolve issues efficiently.

The augmented reality visualization bridges physical and digital realms. When users point their camera at a malfunctioning signal, digital overlays appear directly on the signal itself, making participation contextual and immediate. CitiFix demonstrates how thoughtful design applied to civic technology can foster accountability, reveal systemic patterns, and create more responsive, human-centered cities.
